The Trump administration is pressuring Venezuela's interim government to fire all alleged intelligence agents and spies from China, Russia, Cuba, and Iran from the South American country.
A US official told Axios. The measure, which does not apply to regular diplomatic personnel, marks the administration's latest attempt to force the oil-rich nation to comply with US demands following last week's raid that led to the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.
President Trump warned that failure by Venezuela's interim leader, Delcy Rodríguez, to comply could trigger a second military operation in the country.
