Yahya Sinwar returns. The leader of Hamas in Gaza, who has not been seen since the October 7 massacres, appears for his first public message since the events that sparked the new war in the Middle East.
«Today – he states in a speech to the political leadership of Gaza – we are facing a fierce and unprecedented battle against Israel, and we will never submit to the conditions of the occupation».
Sinwar said he was confident of victory, adding that Hamas "managed to kill more than a thousand enemy soldiers." A figure very far from the toll provided by the Israeli authorities, which speaks of just over 150 soldiers killed so far.
