The proposal for the new Constitution does not pass in Chile. As soon as the polls closed, President Gabriel Boric nevertheless sent a letter to the leaders of all the parties in the country containing the convocation for today at the Moneda. The document anticipates that the meeting will serve to "create a space for transversal dialogue" and to define in a very short time how to carry out the constituent process.

If the "yes" had won, the new Constitution would have entered into force within 10-15 days, while now the only certainty is that the text conceived during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet in 1980, and amended several times, will remain in force. .
