«I have experienced dramatic moments. But now I'm finally free."

Amina Milo, the 18-year-old from the province of Lecce, repeats it several times on the phone, released this morning from Astana prison, in Kazakhstan, after three months of detention.

She will soon return to Italy: «Now - explains Amina - I still don't know when we will be able to leave again, we have to complete other things here in Kazakhstan». What is certain, as announced by her lawyer, Alibek Sekerov, is that the 18-year-old, arrested in recent months for drug trafficking, has been acquitted of all charges . This morning he was able to hug his mother again at the end of another interrogation which was held in the Kazakh capital.

«Thinking of her and my family - continues the 18-year-old - I found the strength to carry on. It wasn't easy at all. There were dramatic moments." The girl, as has been reported and confirmed in the last few hours, would have suffered abuse, for which some policemen are under investigation, apparently also for the crime of torture.

According to what was reconstructed by her parents and her lawyer, she was stopped in Astana by the police on June 18 while she was out with a local friend of her age. After the arrest - according to reports - she was taken by the police to a private apartment from which an officer then called her mother, Assemgul Sapenova, asking her for 60 thousand euros for the release of her daughter. At that point, on the advice of her lawyer, her mother turned to the Italian embassy which obtained the 18-year-old's first release.

A few days later, however, on July 11, Amina was again summoned by the police and arrested. After more than three months today, the liberation. «I'm free: I can't wait to return to Italy. I miss my family, my best friend. And I miss the sea. Very, very much. It all happened suddenly. At a certain point - says Amina - they told me "take your stuff and go away". And for me it was an indescribable joy. Now I feel good. More than good." «Thanks to Minister Tajani and the government. I thank everyone", concludes the 18 year old in tears of joy.
