Strangles his three young children and attempts suicide: "He had just been left by his new partner"

Tragedy in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

In an apartment on the outskirts, a man killed his three small children, seven-year-old twins and a 4-year-old boy, probably strangling them. Then he tried to take his own life.

The man, of Austrian nationality but residing for work in the Croatian city, was found by the police in a confused state.

The mother of the children, a former killer, was not in Zagreb and the children, as usual, were spending the weekend with their father. But apparently he was not in himself: he had just been left by his new partner and was left without money, as he had written in a letter posted on social media before the crime.

Something terrible must have clicked in his head, driving him to rage on his children. Meanwhile, investigations by the police continue.
