Fear this morning at the Gare de Lyon in Paris, where a man stabbed three people before being arrested by the police.

One of the victims of the attack is in serious condition, but not life-threatening. Only minor injuries for the other two people involved.

From what we understand, the arrested person is a 32-year-old of Malian nationality who presented an Italian driving license to the authorities and, according to the newspaper Le Parisien, also has a residence permit issued by Italy.

The investigations by the French authorities continue to clarify the reasons behind the attack.

However, police sources made it known in the morning that the man "did not shout anything during the action" and that his profile is not that of a terrorist but of a "deranged person with psychiatric disorders".

He appears to be resident in Montalto Dora (Turin), where he has had a permit for subsidiary protection since 2016. It seems that the man has been subjected to psychiatric treatment in the past.
