Sardinian tourists stranded in Dubai, MSC promises a safe return: "We're doing our best, but we'll have to wait."
The company doesn't hide its difficulties: "The airspace will gradually reopen, and many flights will need to be rescheduled."Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
"All our operational structures are working tirelessly to identify, as quickly as possible, a solution that guarantees guests on board and a safe and orderly return to their countries of origin. We are collaborating tirelessly with the authorities and airlines, constantly monitoring the evolution of the situation regarding flights to Italy ." These reassuring words come from MSC , which is intervening to calm the spirits of Italian passengers (including Sardinians) stranded aboard the Euribia cruise ship , which has been docked in Dubai for three nights. "The partial and gradual reopening of airspace," the statement continues, "is forcing airlines to reschedule flights, with inevitable wait times, given the high number of requests they are handling."
The passengers (including about ten from Cagliari) were awaiting further communication, following the one this morning in which MSC staff advised them to remain on the ship or at the maritime station, avoiding approaching the Emirati metropolis.
There are 563 Italians on board . "The ship remains docked in the port of Dubai in full compliance with the instructions of the regional military authorities. The safety and well-being of our guests and crew remain our top priority and guide every operational decision." The situation on the ship continues to be "calm and safe," so much so that "all services and facilities are fully operational and guarantee the well-being and safety of guests and crew members." Despite everything, however, tension among passengers remains high, as it is currently impossible to estimate waiting times: the situation is constantly evolving and any predictions are futile.
