Four Renoir works were stolen last night by two thieves from the museum in Cagnes-sur-Mer, on the French Riviera. One of the works taken from the Renoir Museum was abandoned by the thieves during their escape, the town's mayor, Bryan Masson, announced.

The two thieves, identified by surveillance cameras, fled. The mayor estimated the value of the stolen works at approximately €9 million.
