His name is Saif al-Adel, he is an Egyptian who lives in Iran and is 62 years old. According to the US State Department, he is the new head of al Qaeda after the death of Ayman al-Zawahiri in July 2022.

Adel, a former lieutenant colonel in Egypt's special forces, belongs to the terrorist group's old guard and also trained some of the 9/11 hijackers.
