"Effective immediately, an energy truce is in effect in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Both sides have agreed. Do not violate it."
Donald Trump announced it on his social media platform Truth.
"This is news to me," says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. " But if the Russians accept an energy truce, Ukraine will agree. If President Trump negotiated it with Putin—please tell us when the ceasefire will begin—we are ready and will accept it."
