Russian drone strike on Kiev overnight: 'Attack failed'
Kamikaze aircraft launched from the Kursk areaRussian forces launched a kamikaze drone attack on the city of Kiev last night, but all enemy unmanned aircraft were shot down, the Ukrainian capital's Military Administration (KMVA) reported on Telegram.
This was the fifth air strike on Kiev since the beginning of September, Kmva said, adding that the drones arrived from the territory of Russia's Kursk region in several waves after midnight.
“The air strike on the capital lasted more than an hour,” the message reads, “all Russian attack drones threatening Kiev were destroyed by air defense forces and equipment on the outskirts of the capital.”
At the moment there are no victims, injuries or damages. The number of drones shot down will be announced in the morning.
