Three people were injured on the night between Friday and Saturday during a Russian missile and drone attack in the Kiev region. The Kiev Air Force reported that Russian forces launched a barrage of missiles—including hypersonic Kinzhal missiles—and dozens of drones toward towns on the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital.

In Ukraine's Chernihiv region, a night-time Russian drone strike hit residential buildings and critical infrastructure, and fires broke out.

Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department has approved the possible sale to Italy of extended-range air-to-ground missiles and related equipment, estimated at $301 million. The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency has notified Congress of its approval.
