In France the right to abortion included in the Constitution.

The green light came from the parliamentarians, gathered in Congress in the palace of Versailles. The votes in favor were 780 out of 925.

France thus becomes the first country to decide to include voluntary termination of pregnancy in its fundamental charter.

“French pride, universal message,” French President Emmanuel Macron wrote on social media after giving the green light to the measure.

Macron also gave an appointment with citizens on March 8 (International Women's Rights Day) at twelve o'clock in Place Vendome in Paris, in front of the Ministry of Justice, «to celebrate together the entry of a new freedom guaranteed in the constitution with the first sealing ceremony of the Charter amendment", which will be open to the public.
