China, where it all began, has won an "important and decisive victory" against Covid-19, a success that represents a "miracle in the history of humanity".

This is what we read in a note released by the Chinese Communist Party through the Xinhua agency.

"Over the past three years, China's fight against the epidemic has been extraordinary," the statement said. "The mortality rate of Covid remained at the lowest level in the world and a major and decisive victory was achieved in the prevention and control of the epidemic, creating a miracle in the history of human civilization that a country with a large population has successfully emerged from the pandemic".

The CCP claims that the decisions made centrally on the pandemic are "completely correct" and that "the measures have been powerful, but the masses have recognized them and the results have been enormous."

Covid now under control is what was also reiterated by the director of the central foreign affairs office of the central committee of the communist party, Wang Yi, during an interview with the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, at the Quirinale.

"China, having emerged from Covid, is ready to relaunch relations with Italy on the so-called Silk Road, with the intensification of trade exchanges, the strengthening of imports from Rome and new Italy-China connections," said Wang Yi , during the meeting, organized in view of the next Europe-China summit.
