A summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump is expected to be held "in the coming days, at the American side's suggestion," Russian presidential adviser Yuri Ushakov said, quoted by the Interfax news agency.
"At the American side's proposal, a high-level bilateral meeting has essentially been agreed upon in the coming days, namely a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump ," Ushakov said.
Ushakov said that " the date has been tentatively scheduled for next week , but the parties are just starting to prepare for this important meeting, and it's difficult to say how many days the preparations will take. But we are optimistic. The venue has been agreed upon in principle and will be announced later."
