Moments of terror in Buenos Aires for the Argentine vice president Cristina Kirchner. A man was waiting for her in front of her house and as she got out of the car he pointed a gun at her, aiming for the head.

He would have approached, mingled in the crowd, to greet her and ask her for an autograph to put on her biography, then he drew the weapon, without firing. The police then arrested him .

Hundreds of activists have gathered in front of the house of Kirchner, 69, since last week. The vice president is accused of fraud and corruption related to the award of public contracts in her stronghold of Santa Cruz (south), during her two presidential terms (2007-15). The prosecution asked for a 12-year prison sentence and a life ban from public office.
