Boris Johnson "in pieces" and "close to tears" in the course of a confrontation with the exponents of the Conservative party, after the storm that overwhelmed him and which is becoming an increasingly devastating cyclone.

The British premier, as is known, is at the center of a crawl space after the revelations on aperitifs and meetings - officially working - in which he personally participated or organized by his staff during the Christmas 2020 period, where restrictions would have been violated anti-Covid imposed by his own government.

BoJo has been in the sights of the tabloids for weeks and its approval rating in the polls is down.

And, despite having apologized , discontent is also spreading in his party and a change of leadership, even in Downing Street, is a more than concrete hypothesis.

Among the Tories there are many who want to bury Johnson and the front of mistrust is widening with each passing day.

The main threat is represented by about twenty rebel MPs gathered in the so-called "Pork Pie Plot" (named after the fact that an MP involved, Alicia Kearns, comes from the area of origin of the typical English pork pie).

These are deputies elected in 2019 in as many colleges of the former Labor "red wall", who owe their election to Johnson, but who are now ready to sacrifice him.

According to Sky News only in the last few hours 12 letters have been sent (but more are on the way from the 20 rebels) inviting the incumbent premier to step aside.

To permanently torpedo him from the leadership of the party and - therefore also trigger the government crisis that would lead to the change of premiership - 54 votes are needed.

The precipice, for the former mayor of London, is therefore inexorably approaching.
