Two ballistic missiles were launched by North Korea into the Sea of Japan between 11.13 and 12.05 local time. They departed from the northern province of Tongchang-ri according to the Seoul armed forces: "Our military has strengthened surveillance and vigilance by cooperating closely with the United States and maintaining a position of full readiness," the South Korean command said.

For the Japanese public broadcaster NHK, which quotes a government official, the two missiles landed outside the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

During 2022, the Pyongyang regime launched 35 missiles, including today's ones, 16 of which between September and November.
