A 31-year-old Italian chef , Mario Ferrari, died after falling down a fire escape in New York City .

After experiences in Turin and London, the young man, originally from Chieti, had moved to the United States to work in a restaurant chain .

On Wednesday, according to reports from Il Centro, he accidentally fell while leaving work . The impact was fatal.

"I will never accept that you are no longer here, I was proud of you, you transformed happiness to infinity," wrote his mother Silvana Tiberii on Facebook.

And again: «I was proud of your road, of your achievements, you said to me: 'Don't worry' and I always believed you. But all our dreams have been shattered. With a written message, they told me you were gone…You were gone forever. Hello, my son. Know that one day we will meet again and I will never let you escape from me again".
