Another US warship has arrived in the Middle East, ship tracking data shows, as speculation continues to grow about a possible new US attack on Iran .

BBC Verify reports. The guided-missile destroyer USS Delbert D. Black was tracked yesterday as it sailed through the Suez Canal toward the Gulf, the tracking website MarineTraffic showed. At least 10 US warships are now believed to be in the Middle East, including the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

According to US media, Trump, having failed in his goal of regime change after Tehran's violent crackdown crushed the protest movement, is ready to conduct targeted attacks against Iran.

The time to sit down and reach a nuclear deal is running out, and "the next attack will be much worse" than the one in June, when the US bombed Iranian nuclear sites. The US president reiterated his threat yesterday: " A massive armada is heading toward Iran. It is moving rapidly, with great power, enthusiasm, and determination. It is a larger fleet, led by the great aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, than the one sent to Venezuela. And as with Venezuela, it is ready, willing, and capable of swiftly fulfilling its mission, with speed and violence, if necessary ." Therefore, it is in Iran's interest to "sit down at the table as soon as possible and negotiate a fair agreement, beneficial to all parties. No nuclear weapons."

The Islamic Republic has responded defiantly . Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told X that the country's armed forces have "their finger on the trigger to respond immediately and forcefully to any aggression."
