NATO is ready for a maxi-exercise, called "Steadfast Defender", in which around 90 thousand soldiers will participate.

The major maneuvers – the Alliance communicates – will be «the most massive in decades» and will be organized in Eastern Europe, it is thought in Latvia, Lithuania or Poland, perhaps in the area of the Suwalki Corridor, a strip of strategic land, approximately 65 km long, located astride the tortuous border between the two countries. And, therefore, very close to Belarus, an iron ally of Putin's Russia, as well as to Ukraine.

A show of force towards Moscow , which according to some scenarios, for example the one developed by the German Defense Minister, could, after the offensive in Ukraine, directly threaten the NATO countries . An eventuality - revealed by the German news site Bild - which the Kremlin has branded as "a hoax", but which apparently is taken seriously by the USA and its European allies.

Forces from all 31 allies will participate in the exercise, a spokesperson said, and will be based "on the new defense plans of the Alliance" . From what we learn, in addition to thousands of American soldiers, there will also be twenty thousand soldiers supplied by Great Britain.
