Liz Truss has been proclaimed the new Tory leader and consequently, from tomorrow, the new British Prime Minister ( THE PROFILE ).

Government Minister Johnson, 47, is the new number one in the majority force in the House of Commons: in a few hours she will become Prime Minister - the third woman in the history of the United Kingdom - succeeding the resigning Boris Johnson , forced to aside in July on the wave of scandals and internal Tory conspiracies.

Truss was in the ballot, decided by the postal vote of the members (200,000 in all), with the former Chancellor of the Exchequer of Indian family roots Rishi Sunak. Graham Brady, chairman of the 1922 Committee, a body within the conservative parliamentary group in charge of managing the electoral procedure for the party leadership, gave out the numbers: 81,326 votes cast by about 172,000 Tory militants over the past few weeks have gone to her against the 60,399 went to Sunak.

HANDING OVER - Tomorrow Johnson - who has remained in office so far for current affairs - will go to the 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth at Balmoral Castle in Scotland to resign early from the office of prime minister and to "recommend" her as usual to designate the new leader of majority formation.

So the sovereign will separately receive Liz Truss - prime minister number 15 of her record 70-year reign , which began in 1952 when Winston Churchill was tenant at 10 Downing Street - to "invite" her to start her new government. Also tomorrow Truss will begin to form his team , starting from the most important government ministerial boxes, and then make his debut in Parliament in the Question Time on Wednesday in the House of Commons.
