33 people, all students as far as is known so far, were arrested by the Turkish riot police who raided the Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey, while the LGBTQ Pride was underway.

Student lawyer Mahmut Şeren said some teachers were also injured. On the parade, he added, no ban had been expressed by the governor's office or even by the rector.

This was the ninth edition of the event but since 2015, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has banned LGBTQ pride parades.
