It was a Sardinian friend who gave the family the news of the death of Antonella Castelvedere , the 52-year-old from Brescia from Bagnolo Mella stabbed to death by her husband in England, where she had lived for 25 years.

The woman, apparently a colleague, had a close relationship with the victim : she would have received confidences on the difficulties in the relationship with her husband, who could not accept his professional successes. Castelvedere taught English Literature and was responsible for the Creative and Critical Writing course at the University of Suffolk.
The femicide dates back to June 1 in the village of Colchester, in the county of Essex, in the South of Great Britain : precisely in Wickham Road, a residential neighborhood with tidy houses all in a row. "We are not looking for anyone" other than her husband, police confirmed. The injured man was taken to hospital under arrest. With an English passport, but of Turkish-Syrian origin, he is accused of murder .

As for her, she was still alive when help arrived, but unfortunately she didn't last long.

Castelvedere had lived in the United Kingdom for years . In Bagnolo Mella, a village in the lower Brescia area, there are the elderly parents and the brother. The family is waiting for the ashes of the woman whose funeral will be celebrated in the country of birth for the next few days.

The relatives are also in contact with the Farnesina to discuss the custody of the university professor's little daughter , who was left without a mother, killed, and without a father, under arrest. The girl is now in a protected community in England.
