The flower-decorators of Tortolì are the stars of the Vatican: a floral carpet in front of the Basilica

Between Via della Conciliazione and Piazza San Pietro they are now at home. Regular guests for three editions of the flower festival organized every year on the occasion of the celebration in honor of Saints Peter and Paul , patrons of Rome, the members of the Infioratrici di Tortolì group have created a floral carpet reproducing the two popes, Francis and Leo XIV, in front of the Basilica of San Pietro.

Last night, with flower petals and natural materials they created an evocative carpet, a tribute to floral art.

The group of flower arrangers, present together with a delegation of the Pro Loco Rocce Rosse of Tortolì and the president of the regional Unpli Raffaele Sestu, took part in the traditional event organized by the Pro Loco of Rome Capital in collaboration with the Unpli.

Pope Prevost, during today's Angelus, greeted all the flower arrangers from all over Italy.
