The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip will begin on Friday 24 November and the transfer of hostages will take place through the Rafah crossing, on the border with Egypt.

This was announced by the Israeli ambassador to Russia, Alexander Bin Zvi, quoted by Tass and Cairo, a party involved, confirms.

From what has emerged in recent days , the agreement on the truce provides for the overall release of 50 hostages held by Hamas and, on the Israeli side, the release of 150 Palestinian prisoners.

Diaa Rashwan, head of the Egyptian government's press office, explains the details of the agreement: the truce will begin at 7 am on Friday morning and on the first day 13 Israeli hostages and 39 Palestinian prisoners will be freed.

«Egypt – the authorities in Cairo also declared – invites both parties to commit to implementing the truce agreement as foreseen and agreed».
