The president of the labor court ordered the end of the general strike in Israel at 2:30 p.m. local time, "after hearing the positions of the parties."
The injunction comes after the government put heavy pressure on the union not to block the country's activities, as happened, with thousands of protesters who "invaded" several streets in Tel Aviv, during the protest called after the discovery in Gaza of six young hostages executed in a tunnel in Gaza.
Protesters gathered on Begin Street and are demanding that the government make a deal to release the kidnapped Palestinians who are still alive in Hamas captivity.
Meanwhile, diplomacy continues to work towards a ceasefire.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told families of American hostages in Gaza on Sunday that Joe Biden is considering presenting Israel and Hamas with a final proposal for a deal on the release of the hostages and a ceasefire in Gaza by the end of the week.
Sullivan and U.S. Middle East envoy Brett McGurk also told the family that there is a chance of reaching an agreement and that they hope it can happen within two weeks.
