Four and a half years in prison for rape . This is the sentence for Dani Alves, the former Barcelona and Juventus footballer, accused of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old girl in the bathroom of the reserved area of the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona on 30 December 2022.

The Spanish prosecutor's office had initially asked the judge for a 9-year prison sentence for him. The Barcelona court also ordered 5 years of probation, after the end of the sentence, and 9 years of obligation to move away at least 1 km away from the victim's home.

Alves, as we learn from legal sources, will have to compensate the woman with over 150 thousand euros .
