In Germany, the Greens have also given the green light to the contract with the SPD social democrats and the FPD liberals: the new government of Olaf Scholz ( WHO IS ), called to the post of first chancellor of the post Angela Merkel era, can therefore take off.
Just Scholz, together with the other two leaders Habeck and Lindner, will sign the program agreement of 177 pages in the next few hours, an agreement approved with 98.8% by the SPD, with 92.2% by the liberals and, indeed, with 86%, from the Greens.
From what has been learned, the new executive will be made up of 50% men and 50% women.
In detail, the eight women will receive the ministries of Interior (the first time ever under female leadership), Foreign Affairs, Defense, Construction, Development Cooperation, Environment, Family and Education.
The "rigorist" Karl Lauterbach (doctor, academic with studies at Harvard, specializing in Epidemiology and Health Economics) will come to Health, a key department in this time of the Covid pandemic, a name chosen under the strong media pressure and popular to succeed the Christian- Democrat Jens Spahn.
Under the agreement between the three forces that will make up the majority, 72% of the state budget will instead be controlled by the 7 ministries in the hands of the majority partner of the new governing coalition, i.e. the Social Democratic party, while 18% will be in the hands of the Liberals and 10% of those of the Greens, according to the Handelsblatt economic newspaper.
According to the calculation made on the 2022 budget, the SPD will be able to count on a portfolio of 272.3 billion, the liberals of the FDP on 65.8 billion and the Greens - the second coalition partner by votes collected in the last elections - on 39, 1 billion.
