Gaza, the Israeli army: "Tactical pauses to send aid."
Airdrops with food and medicines have already been carried outThe bombing of Gaza has been halted to allow for humanitarian intervention in the Strip . The Israeli army has announced a "tactical pause" in its operations : the truce , according to a statement published on Telegram, will be in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. today (9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Italy).
The "tactical pause" will be in effect at the local level every day until further notice : "The pause will begin in the areas where the IDF is not operational – the clarification -: Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah and Gaza City, every day until further notice," a press release reads.
"This decision was coordinated with the UN and international organizations following discussions," the statement continues. "The IDF will continue to support humanitarian efforts in parallel with ongoing maneuver and offensive operations against terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, in order to protect Israeli civilians," the Army concludes. "The IDF stands ready to expand the scope of this activity, if necessary."
"Safe routes" will also be established to ensure the passage of humanitarian convoys . An airdrop of humanitarian aid has also already been announced. According to the army, the airdrop included seven packages containing flour, sugar, canned goods, and medicines.
