The Rassemblement National, a French far-right party led by Marine Le Pen, is accused of having been "a transmission belt" of Russian power in France.

This is what we read in the report of a parliamentary commission of inquiry into foreign interference in the transalpine state.

The document, some excerpts of which have been leaked, underlines the "alignment" of the Front National, ancestor of Marine Le Pen's Rassemblement, along the lines of the "Russian discourse" at the time of the "illegal" annexation of Crimea in 2014, a few months after obtaining a loan from a Czech-Russian bank.

For her part, Le Pen sends every shadow back to the sender, accusing the report of "dishonesty".
