Explosion in apartment over gas leak, two deaths

Two people died and four were injured by the explosion that took place overnight in an apartment in Kecioren, Ankara province, Turkey.

The detonation would have been caused by a gas leak.

The three-storey building has partially collapsed.

Rescuers extracted the lifeless bodies of the victims, Iraqi Turkmen, from the rubble. Three of the four injured are in serious condition.

The prosecutor of the capital has opened an investigation into the incident.
