United Russia is ahead in consensus in Russia. With 15% of the ballots scrutinized, Vladimir Putin's party is at 41.17%. In second place, with 23.9%, the Communist Party, in third (9.07%) the Liberal Democratic Party, then Nuovo Popolo (center-right) with 7.32% and finally Just Russia (6.97%).

So far five parties have exceeded the 5% threshold to enter the Duma, surprisingly also Nuovo Popolo which was not included in the list of exit polls.

The system for elections to the Duma provides for a national federal list, in which you vote for parties (225 seats) and one based on single-member constituencies (where you vote with the majority for a candidate), where another 225 seats are up for grabs.

The proceedings began on Friday: immediately the president of the Central Electoral Commission, Ella Pamfilova, denounced "heavy attacks" against the infrastructures for online voting and claimed that "at least half" come from the United States.

The president also voted remotely, from the comfort of his office: he is currently in self-isolation following an outbreak of coronavirus cases in his entourage (or at least this is the official explanation).
