"We do not copy, in the most absolute way". And, to prove it, they created some do-it-yourself blinders to use during written exams. All this leaving free rein to the imagination. The result, eloquent, in some shots, which soon went viral on social networks .

The bizarre competition was staged in the Philippines, at the Bicol University College of Engineering in the city of Legazpi , during Professor Mary Joy Mandane-Ortiz's Mechanical Engineering course.

It was the teacher who published the photos of the “anti-cheating” blinders designed by the students: egg containers tied together, cardboard tubes glued to the glasses, a black Ku Klux Klan style cloak. And again: bandanas, sun hats with face cover, motorcycle helmet, boxes.

A series of Facebook posts by the teacher garnered thousands of likes within a few days and attracted the interest of the Filipino media. The idea then expanded to schools and other universities in the country which encouraged students to put together anti-deception headgear.

But it was not a game for its own sake. Professor Mandane-Ortiz in fact said that with this method " the students obtained better results, many finished the tests early and - above all - no one was caught cheating".
