"For us, the return of a major brand like Audi to the city is wonderful news. It's been sorely missed in recent years, and while those with a specific preference are able to purchase their car elsewhere, having an Audi dealership back in the city is truly positive news for Olbia and the Gallura region as a whole. This is also because it's a prestigious brand, one I can personally say I've always appreciated, and because technology, aesthetics, and safety are values we all place at the heart of purchasing our cars." This is how Olbia's mayor, Settimo Nizzi, welcomed the new headquarters of Catte AG srl.
As stated in a press release, "For over forty years, the Costa Smeralda and Northern Sardinia have represented one of the most prestigious international destinations, a meeting point for entrepreneurship, high-end tourism, sailing, major sporting events, and lifestyle. And it is precisely in this context that Audi has built a significant presence over time, accompanied the evolution of premium mobility, and become an integral part of the image of a region renowned throughout the world."
The essence of a brand
There are places that, more than others, naturally represent the essence of a brand. Gallura is undoubtedly one of them, thanks to its scenic roads that have hosted international presentations, test drives for the specialized press, exclusive events, and initiatives that have helped associate the Four Rings brand with an idea of innovation, elegance, technology, and driving pleasure. A relationship consolidated over the years, which today is renewed with even more irrepressible force.
Audi Italia CEO Timm Barlet, who was in Olbia for the opening, confirmed the value of the operation. "During a period of profound transformation in the automotive sector, Audi continues to invest in the quality of its network. The new Catte opening in Olbia strengthens the brand's presence in the region and represents a further step in its growth and dissemination of the values of excellence and premiumness that distinguish the Four Rings. Audi is looking to the future of mobility with a strategy based on electrification and maximum technological flexibility. Thanks to an increasingly broad range, from fully electric models to the most advanced hybrid and traditional solutions, we are able to meet the diverse needs of customers, accompanying them in the transition to tomorrow's mobility."
An important milestone
The opening of the new dealership also represents a significant milestone for Catte AG Srl, a business that builds on the legacy and experience built over the years by the Catte family in the automotive sector. "With a history of expertise, reliability, and continuous evolution, the Catte Group has supported generations of motorists in Sardinia and beyond, constantly investing in quality service, staff training, and technological innovation. The arrival of Audi in Olbia," the press release continues, "represents one of the most significant investments in recent years for the company: a modern facility, designed according to the brand's most advanced standards, capable of offering a completely new customer experience, from sales consultancy to after-sales support. This is a significant investment, which will also have tangible benefits for the local community with new employment opportunities, the development of highly qualified professionals, and a contribution to the economic growth of Gallura through services, related industries, and new development prospects."
The new Audi Olbia—it is emphasized—was created to be much more than a dealership. It is a place designed to offer a complete premium experience, where technology, sustainability, design, personalized advice, and quality service coexist in a contemporary, elegant environment perfectly aligned with the brand's philosophy.
«A great satisfaction»
For Antonio Catte, CEO of Catte AG Srl , "Bringing Audi back to Olbia is a source of great satisfaction for us and represents one of the most important milestones in our company's history. Gallura is one of Sardinia's most dynamic regions, an international hub for tourism, sailing, and business, and deserved to once again have an official Audi presence. With this new location, we are providing customers in Northern Sardinia with a modern hub that lives up to the brand's standards, offering excellent service throughout every phase of the customer relationship. This investment stems from the belief that Sardinia has enormous growth potential and the desire to contribute concretely to its development, creating new employment opportunities and leveraging local expertise."
The inauguration evening's patroness was journalist Roberta Floris, who also moderated the institutional talk, joined by presenter and entertainer Demo Mura. On stage were Timm Barlet, Antonio Catte, Settimo Nizzi, Renzo Persico, President of the Costa Smeralda Consortium, Maurizio De Pascale, President of Confindustria Sardegna, and Aldo Stefano Carta, General Manager of Cipnes Gallura. "The excellence of local food and wine," the press release continues, "led guests on a journey of authentic flavors, while the extraordinary performance of the Mamuthones of Mamoiada, a Sardinian heritage known throughout the world, will be one of the evening's highlights. Tradition and innovation, local identity and international vision will interact in perfect harmony, conveying an authentic image of Sardinia and reinforcing the message Audi wishes to convey through this inauguration."
