In the US yet another tragedy born of "easy weapons": in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, a 13-year-old boy shot a gun, killing a 5-year-old boy.

From what was reconstructed by the police, the tragedy occurred during the Thanksgiving holiday. A group of children were playing and wanted to make a video with their smartphone. It is still unclear how they got the gun, perhaps left unattended at home by one of their parents. But the epilogue was dramatic: the 13-year-old accidentally pulled the trigger and a bullet hit the smallest of friends.

His condition immediately seemed desperate. After the alarm, rescuers intervened on the spot. But the attempts to save the child's life have unfortunately been in vain.

The 13-year-old has meanwhile been stopped by the police and taken to a juvenile prison, waiting to appear in court.
