A fire broke out near a hotel in Davos, Switzerland, where the World Economic Forum is taking place.

"We're outside the Congress Center," Lilli Gruber said live from Davos, speaking by phone to Otto e Mezzo on La7. " They made us all evacuate. We left all our things inside because there seems to be a fire in a hotel nearby. There are helicopters flying overhead, it's full of firefighters, and so there's an evacuation emergency."

"We are aware of a minor incident that created smoke in Davos, which was quickly brought under control," the International Economic Forum (IEF) announced. "The safety of participants was ensured at all times," the WEF continued, "and remains a top priority. We are in close contact with the relevant local authorities and emergency services. The incident is considered resolved by local authorities ."
