Building Explodes: 5 Dead, Search for Missing People Under Rubble

The provisional death toll from the explosion that caused the collapse of a three-story residential building in the Dutch capital The Hague, where excavations continue for the second day, has risen to at least 5 confirmed dead and 5 injured, 2 of them seriously. It is not yet clear how many are missing, with five apartments still buried under the rubble.
In addition to the fifth body extracted from the rubble during the night, about 12 hours after the explosion which is still under investigation, there are also 5 injured : 4 of whom are hospitalized, 2 of them in serious condition, and one treated on site by ambulance.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a car was reported speeding away from the scene at 6.15am shortly after the explosion .
