The protests in Nanterre, in the suburbs of Paris, continue after the killing, during a police check, of a 17-year-old boy: Nael.

New clashes between protesters and police broke out during the "white march", a procession led by the 17-year-old's mother, which was attended by between 5,000 and 6,000 people.

During the procession, near the courthouse, a group of protesters triggered scuffles with the police, setting some cars on fire.

Tensions are also registered in other municipalities of the French capital, where thousands of policemen and gendarmes have been deployed to repress other violent protests.
