«Under no circumstances can we allow American support for Ukraine to be stopped. Too many lives, too many children and too many people are at stake."

Joe Biden said this at a government meeting at the White House after Congress avoided at the last minute the shutdown that had been evoked for weeks thanks to a compromise between Democrats and moderate Republicans, an agreement for which Ukraine itself paid, which will not receive the 6.2 billion dollars requested by the US president.

“I expect – added Biden – that the speaker of the House and the majority of Republicans in Congress will maintain their commitment to guarantee the passage of the support necessary to help Kiev defend itself from Russian aggression and brutality”.

The US president also made a point of reminding all parliamentarians that the United States "is the indispensable nation in the world".

The Pentagon itself has warned Congress that the funds to replace the weapons that the US has sent to Kiev are running out, stating that Defense has already had to slow down the supply of equipment to some departments.
