Protests continue in Iran for Mahsa Amini , the 22-year-old Kurdish woman who died while in the custody of the moral police who had arrested her for not wearing the veil correctly.

According to the Tasnim news agency, Iranian police arrested "739 rioters, including 60 women" in the province of Guilan alone.

Students from several universities continued to gather today, on the first opening day of the universities and schools, as the government announced that university classes will be held online for at least two weeks.

Mahsa's death dates back to September 16 , while the girl was in prison. She had been stopped shortly before in a park in Tehran because she did not cover her head in the right way. According to the regime she died of natural causes, but from what emerged she was instead beaten to death.

The Iranian Religious Moral Police was established in 2005 on input from the regime's conservatives.
