Since the beginning of Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip, there have been at least 3,200 victims, while around 11,000 people have been injured in the latest toll provided by the Palestinian Ministry of Health managed by Hamas.

According to the spokesperson, Israel continued to bomb Gaza "even after the criminal raid on the hospital ." Israel says the explosion was caused by a “botched” missile launch by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and that it has audio and technological evidence to support that claim.

Meanwhile, the UN secretary general has asked Hamas for the "immediate and unconditional release of the hostages", referring to at least 199 people kidnapped by the militants. Guterres said he was "fully aware of the profound grievances of the Palestinian people after 56 years of occupation: but however serious these grievances are, they cannot justify the acts of terror committed by Hamas on 7 October."

And, again, the direct invitation to Israel to "immediately allow unlimited access to humanitarian aid to respond to the most basic needs of the population of Gaza, the vast majority of whom are women and children". "I ask for a humanitarian ceasefire immediate to provide sufficient time and space to help realize my two appeals and to alleviate the epic human suffering we are witnessing", said the UN Secretary General underlining that "too many human lives and the fate of the entire region I'm in the game."
