The manhunt that began after the attack on Friday evening in Solingen , Germany, which killed three people and injured eight others, some seriously, and which was claimed by ISIS, has ended with two arrests.

German police have arrested a 15-year-old boy suspected of having had contact with the attacker and of not having reported his intentions, and also the perpetrator: a 26-year-old Syrian, who allegedly acted while shouting "Allah Akbar". The attack was claimed by ISIS, which said it was "revenge" for the Arab victims in the Gaza Strip.

According to the reconstruction of the facts, the attacker - who confessed after his arrest - randomly stabbed participants at a celebration to mark the 650th anniversary of the founding of the town in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Investigations are continuing to try to understand if the young man had other accomplices or supporters.
