While their first official opponent of the season faces its debut in the Coppa Italia, Olbia is thinking about the next summer test to best prepare for their debut in the 2025/26 Serie D, scheduled for August 31st.
After the match between UniPomezia and Monastir, today's Coppa Italia preliminary round match, Giancarlo Favarin's team will know who they will face next Sunday, away . The goal is to arrive at the match in the best possible condition, so after joint training sessions with Ozierese and Ilvamaddalena , a test in which Favarin reshuffled his form due to some ailments, Olbia is aiming to organize another friendly match for the week, starting tomorrow with an afternoon session at the Loiri sports field.
Meanwhile, to finance the season during the club's transition, the "Support Olbia Calcio" Committee and its Temporary Support Fund have been established, "promoted by entrepreneurs, professionals, fans, and citizens who have chosen to actively contribute," according to the press release.
The statement, signed by the committee's marketing and communications manager, Romi Fuke, known in the industry as the founder and CEO of the In-Lire Circuit and an expert in collaborative finance and sports marketing, specifies that "the resources will be allocated to the most urgent operating expenses—transportation, accommodations, maintenance, and sports supplies—allowing the team to face the season with peace of mind. " The model includes fundraising through various channels, online platforms, events, memberships, supporter cards, and grassroots sponsorships. Each contribution will be tracked and publicly reported according to transparency criteria and in compliance with privacy protection regulations.
The committee, whose duties are emphasized to be unpaid, is chaired by Giovanni Degortes, the consultant appointed for the sale of the Gallura club's shares, owned by SwissPro. "Olbia Calcio is a public asset. With the fund, we want to give continuity to the team and demonstrate that Olbia is ready to support it with concrete and transparent tools ," explains Degortes. Treasurer Fabrizio Filigheddu adds that "every euro raised will be allocated exclusively to the committee and publicly reported," and committee secretary Salvatore Campus concludes: "Everyone can do their part: fans, citizens, and businesses."
The committee finally announced that the bank account dedicated to the initiative is already active.
