The Asd Sottovento Stintino together with the Municipality of Stintino announce the XIV Raduno dei 45 , an event that is part of the program "Stintino a story to tell" , which not only recalls a crucial moment in the history of Stintino but also celebrates the resilience and unity of its community .

This historic sail will take place this morning, August 14, offering a day full of cultural activities and historical reflection. The Raduno dei 45 commemorates the exodus of 1885, when the inhabitants of Asinara were forced to move to make room for a lazaret and a penal colony. This event marked the birth of Stintino, founded by the forty-five families who were displaced.

Through sailing, the event aims to reconnect participants with those roots, emphasizing the history of struggle and solidarity that has shaped the Stintino community .

Before departure, a press conference is scheduled in Cala Reale. This session will see the participation of institutional figures, including the mayors of Stintino, Rita Vallebella and Porto Torres, Massimo Mulas, as well as representatives of the Asinara National Park and the Province. The topics covered will include the importance of historical memory, the preservation of cultural identity and the future of the historical heritage of the area. The conference represents an opportunity to reflect on the past, but also to actively plan the future of the community and its traditions. The important role of Porto Torres as the first point of contact of the Stintino people with the outside world will be recognized.

The Municipality of Porto Torres has always actively supported the Rally of 45, since the first settlement, emphasizing the unitary movement of the territory. This collaboration symbolizes a deep historical and cultural bond, which continues to promote the cohesion and joint development of the territories of the northwest.
