Prefabricated modules outside the Businco .
After the many concerns raised by patients and doctors about the works that could severely limit the activity of the Cagliari oncology hospital, a solution has been found to minimize the inconvenience during the renovation . This was announced by the Health Councilor Armando Bartolazzi at the end of the meeting with the top management of Arnas, a representation of Businco doctors and several patient associations.
"We have listened to the voice of the patients," Bartolazzi said. Specifying that on the renovation of the operating rooms "we are moving forward with the project prepared by the management of Arnas Brotzu with the Pnrr funding," he added that " we also consider positively the proposal put forward by doctors and associations of oncology patients to evaluate an idea of temporary operating modules outside the structure ."
The "political" decision is also shared by the presidency, specifies the member of the Council, and provides for "the possibility of prefabricated modules that will flank the Businco during renovation works ". The objective, explains Bartolazzi, is " to avoid inconvenience to patients by keeping them within a completely safe surgical and hospitalization path ".
The councilor once again emphasizes the urgency of the work, because «the operating rooms are in dramatic conditions and must be renovated as soon as possible, to protect patients». Then, the Businco will become «the Cancer Center of reference for the Island» , because «there is all the potential and professionalism to be able to do it».
