Fear in San Nicolò d'Arcidano. The very strong wind, which is also hitting the Oristano area in these hours, has uprooted the roof covering of a house. It happened between via Argiolas and via Peschiera this morning around 11. The roofing ended up on another house and on a street lamp pole.

"Fortunately, no injuries were reported - commented the mayor of Arcidano Davide Fanari - But it could have been worse". The firefighters intervened promptly on site.

Damage also in Riola Sardo. The huge tree located a few meters from the municipal library and the Town Hall was uprooted. Trees also fell in the Su Pallosu marina, in the territory of San Vero Milis.

Due to the strong wind, several trees fell along the provincial road 49, in the Terralba area, and several interventions were carried out to clear the affected lanes.

"Several poles have been reported to Telecom and the municipal operations center has been activated - comments the mayor of Arborea Manuela Pintus - We invite you to use maximum caution in the next few hours and limit car travel unless strictly necessary. The risks to which you may be exposed in these cases are those of falling trees, tiles and cables that can invade the roadway and create sudden and unpredictable dangerous situations. In case of need, you can contact the single emergency number, 112".
