Two distinct fronts, but with a common goal: to distance wind farms from archaeological sites . On one side "Su Nuraxi", in Barumini , on the other "Su Angiu", in the territory of Mandas .

Today the municipal councils of Gesico, Selegas, and precisely Mandas, convened themselves in the archaeological area of Su Angiu, around which hovers the specter of two preliminary projects, for a total of eighteen wind turbines : «Not only were we not involved in the slightest» , explains the mayor of Mandas Umberto Oppus, «but the projects insist on archaeological excavations, nuraghes, a Roman village and a medieval church. The government and the Region must block them ».

Similar situation in Marmilla, where a procession will take place tomorrow morning that will move from Genoni (departure at 9.30) to the Giovanni Lilliu center in Barumini, proposed by the members of the local Coldiretti. Here an open meeting will be held with the municipal councils of the administrations involved: Barumini and Genoni, in fact, but also Escolca, Nuragus, Las Plassas, Gesturi, Gergei and Villanovafranca.

There will also be farmers and breeders, with over seventy tractors expected , who will try to highlight the impact of the project on the agricultural and livestock sector: also in this case, we are talking about seventeen wind turbines over 200 meters high.
