Regional council meeting to discuss the rule on the stop to renewables which the committees don't like: «Text that needs to be changed, it doesn't prevent the dangers for the landscape»Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
It is the day of the debate on the moratorium against wind power in the Regional Council. A provision from the council led by Alessandra Todde, which intends to stop (even if there are some non-secondary exceptions) the installation of new renewable energy production plants for the next eighteen months. At stake is the landscape of Sardinia which risks being violated, forever.
According to official data published by Terna, updated only until March 31, requests for connection to the national electricity grid have been submitted for 1,200 wind turbines at sea, 3,000 on land and for approximately 70 thousand hectares of photovoltaic panels.
The Viale Trento bill, which begins its process of conversion into law in the Chamber today, does not satisfy the committees against energy speculation, which yesterday organized well-attended meetings in Nuoro and Sanluri. And today they will be under the building in via Roma, to ask for changes: «The bill arrives late and is insufficient to stop the danger looming over our island», is the position of “Su Entu nostu”, a committee that acts as spokesperson for the requests of all the territories. "Today politics can do its part and stop the invasion", is the appeal. President Todde announced that she wanted to move forward: «Law to be approved immediately and without modifications».
While the wind of protest is becoming stronger and stronger, a communication arrived late yesterday: a meeting of the Regional Council has been called for today at 8.45am. The Agenda has not been announced. Todde will then speak, before the House meets.
