The judiciary has entered the field regarding speculation in the renewable energy sector.

After the recent complaint on the interpretation of the regional moratorium for wind towers and photovoltaic panels, the Chief Prosecutor of Cagliari, Rodolfo Sabelli, has opened a file on the project of ten wind turbines approximately 200 meters high under construction in Villacidro , assigning the investigation to the deputy prosecutor Rossella Spano.

This is the same prosecutor who, for some time, has been investigating the Tyrrhenian Link, the submarine cable that should connect Sardinia, Sicily and Campania. A 1000 mega-watt super-line which should transfer the energy produced on the two islands, including from renewable sources, to the mainland.

For the moment the investigation appears to be "against unknown persons", therefore no names have been entered in the Register of suspects. The complaint was presented in recent days by the "Gallura Coordination against wind and photovoltaic speculation", supported by the lawyer Michele Zuddas.
